So I wanted to take the time to review with everyone the best or TOP questions to ask SEO companies before you sign on the dotted line.

1 – How accessible is your partner SEO company? Business is not only 9 to 5, it is whenever you are open and when your website is online. Explore what to expect or even what NOT to count on.

2 – Who is the designated contact within the SEO company? As well who will be responsible for signing off on the work within your own company? The old saying, “too many cooks in the kitchen”, might actually damage or linger your work.

3 – How much reporting do you want or what is the frequency of reporting? Too little and you might feel no one is working on YOUR results. Too much and you might feel smothered.

4 – How involved is your team in creation of content? So companies prefer the SEO company to field all creation and quite frankly what most are paid for but a helping hand is always helping results in the long run.

5 – Past Experience – So much to be said but what is the “track record” of the SEO company. Does the very people practice “what they preach” or just reading a few SEO blogs and repeating them? Align your company with knowledge and experienced SEO companies, not just ones with a great pitch!

Great more local traffic and business!

So anyway Google reps have been calling me and I kind of been side stepping their calls. Finally in front of my computer and some free time today.

Since I have high placement already the rep, John, threw in a free $100 to showcase the listing on my one account. The bonus of this is the Adwords Express listing will feature a different color than others.

Now this one account already has double the reviews from Google reviews than most the competition but the more that catches a prospect or clients eyes the better.

So that was the general purpose of why you NEED to start setting up the various platforms on the many social channels. True, some may not apply but the majority should be covered and remember to completely fill out the profiles. Include your message, hyperlinks and keywords you are attempting to rank for.

Think someone will do business with a blank slate? Why chance it, take the time to do it and do it RIGHT.

Most folks new to internet marketing would indeed think that and the orders will fly across your desk. Not so at all in 99.5% of the time, nothing is going to happen, until time. Social media is awesome with customer service issues but more importantly about branding. One of the conferences a marketing guru said 17 times you must display your logo until it is remembered.

So okay you get branding, what about a extra bonus? Most of us realize the more linking website to our own website the better our rankings get. Yes, yes, the relevant sites linking to your website is the “money shot” but please….let’s keep it simple.

So with all the social platforms, twitter, facebook, etc. what’s a BONUS?

BACKLINKS.

First thing when a client comes on board with us we open all the various “channels” and pages across the web. Look at this chart below.

Notice where several avenues of traffic and links are coming from? This is just a snapshot of the traffic coming into a client’s site but last month there was no mention of the social platforms at all. Within a few days we opened around 20 different pages for the client. Since we are seo experts, can I get away with saying that….of course….this is my blog, we also have converted visitors into buyers due to our marketing and landing pages on the social sites.

So do not become a hermit and lose your family or life over social media. For starters open what you can and maintain them with the proper marketing and even with the backlink “power” you and your company are that much ahead of the game!

Typing out the title my fingers skimmed across the keyboard and title read Top 3 Tools MUST HAVES for a blog to tank. Actually that is a true statement if you do not use some kind of smarts with writing or planning a blog.

Okay, so you have a blog about your great sneaker collection or what you did over the weekend but what about your business blog? What’s worse, your business is selling roofing tiles or printer ink…..real saucy and sexy stuff eh? Well, writing the blog or making effective content is covered in another blog post we have online but trust me, any topic is easy.

Now you have skipped ahead and have great content and people are hitting your website and blog, you hope.

Why hope? Does google monitor your blog and see what is going on in there? Nope, not yet.

If you are running a WordPress blog then install

1 – Google Analyticator.

This plugin allows access and gives your site a complete blueprint of what your vistors are doing. Just click on the PlugIns page of your blog and search for GA.

Next is the content or blog is so great people are going to cut and paste and then go to another site and post or share it. Probably not, but what if you had some handy dandy Social Sharing buttons right on the page for one-click sharing.

Add these two:

3 – AddThis Social Bookmarking Widget

Again just search them by name and install directly on the blog. Make sure to click into the settings section for all of these programs. GA will ask to login your Google account and allow access. Both the social plugins will ask more basic information like your facebook page or twitter account name.

Does your blog posts just go to the trash?

Reap the benefits of your marketing and great content. Just today I was working with a huge leader in England and her blog did not have any sharing options nor inter-linking, but that’s another blog.
